Mayhem Ensues…

Looking at a potential loss of anywhere from $40-45,000 driving away from his home, Compliance and Transportation Manager Neil Christensen knew what he had to do. It was the very reason that he had GPS Trackit’s technology installed in the first place, to be able to immediately locate and recover stolen items before they’d be gone forever. So, Christensen immediately consulted his GPS tracking Fleet Manager heavy equipment tracking console. The GPS tracking software immediately identified the location of the vehicle in a cul-de-sac not far from where it was stolen.

Christensen immediately notified the police station in hopes of circumventing a theft insurance claim. He got his wish. The police arrived at the scene to find the vehicle intact, including its equipment. It was returned to Arizona Pipeline within an hour for business as usual.

With reports detailing their behavior behind the wheel, drivers can be held responsible for their behavior on the road. Perhaps the employees are accelerating too often or are hitting the brakes with too much ferocity. Those kinds of actions can put a lot of strain on the vehicle. A one-time instance might not do too much damage, but an accumulation of poor pedal handling can add wear and tear that can build up over time and eventually cause some serious damage.
