GPS Trackit has partnered with Temecula food bank Western Eagle Foundation to provide a Christmas party for Marine Wounded Warriors and their families. Over 500 parents and children are expected to enjoy food, music, and visits with Santa at the celebration.
Temecula, CA December 12th, 2014 – GPS Trackit is sponsoring a Christmas party for Marine Wounded Warriors and their families on Saturday, December 20th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The party will be held at the Western Eagle Foundation facility at 40940 County Center Dr. in Temecula, California 92590. The party will feature games, a reptile petting zoo, a bouncy house, a DJ, pictures of the kids with Santa, and a raffle.
“This year Western Eagle Foundation and GPS Trackit are partnering to host the Marine Wounded Warriors of Camp Pendleton and their families,” said Steven Johnson, Western Eagle’s Warehouse Supervisor. “Through this event we want to acknowledge the sacrifice and dedication that these men and women have made for our country.”
“We’re very happy to be able to do this for these brave soldiers and their families,” said John Stull, President and owner of GPS Trackit. “Camp Pendleton is just over the hill from us. These people are serving their country, away from home and their extended families during the holidays. We want to thank them for their service. Partnering with Western Eagle Foundation on this was a no-brainer.”
Western Eagle Foundation is a non-profit organization operating a 44,000 square foot ‘superstore’ where people in need can purchase food and other goods at deeply discounted prices. The food and sundries are donated by Macy’s, Target, Costco, CVS, Albertson’s, and Von’s, as well as many others.
The Christmas event will be held at their facility in Temecula.
“With a generous gift of $5,000 provided by GPS Trackit we will be able to assist these families with a much deserved Merry Christmas, complete with fun, food, toys and of course Santa,” added Johnson. “We want these valuable soldiers to end this year with a heartfelt THANK YOU.”
In addition to sponsoring the Christmas event, GPS Trackit employees are volunteering at the facility to help with Western Eagle’s Toys For Tots campaign. They also collected canned food items for the food bank to distribute.
“This is the time of year when we take stock of what we have,” said Stull. “It’s important to give thanks, and to remember that there are others who may not be as fortunate.”
