GPS fleet tracking adds to its mobile offerings with the new iPad app from GPS Trackit. The app enables iPad users of the company’s Fleet Manager system to locate, monitor, and track their fleet vehicles on their tablet.
Temecula, Ca. – January 9, 2013 Mobile fleet tracking is now available as an iPad app for fleet managers and dispatchers alike, giving them the power to view and track their vehicles from the convenience of their tablet.
The iPad GPS Fleet Tracking App is yet another added bonus for customers of GPSTrackIt’s industry leading software platform.
“It joins the recently released apps for the iPhone and the Android,” said Eddie Bermudez, GPS Trackit’s Product Manager. “Our iPad app gives fleet managers and dispatchers extra screen real-estate to view their entire fleet as if they were on their computer at their desk.”
Like the Android and iPhone apps, the iPad app provides access to the powerful features of the Fleet Manager system, but with the added benefit of the larger display. Alerts can be created for a wide variety of applications, including geographic markers like Landmarks and Geofences. They can be configured to send emails or SMS text messages when instances of speeding or sustained idling are recorded. Drivers can be sent directions to help reduce fuel waste and avoid traffic. Plus, fleet managers can display vehicle trails and event history (ignition, vehicle starts/stops, etc.) to monitor vehicle activity.
“The new iPad app is available for free to users of GPS Trackit’s Fleet Manager vehicle tracking system,” added Bermudez.
Current subscribers include 1000s of small service businesses, government agencies, and construction companies.
