Inaugural Global Fleet Management Conference Wows Attendees
The inaugural Global Fleet Management Conference, which was held in Phoenix September 30-October 1, was a truly international event, attracting attendees and speakers from every corner of the globe. In total, more than 32 percent of attendees traveled internationally — from destinations, including France, Belgium, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Switzerland, Italy, China, India, Canada, Nigeria, and Brazil — to learn from global fleet leaders and subject-matter experts. Demand was so strong that the organizers closed online registrations two weeks prior to the conference when attendance exceeded the capacity of the conference venue.
2013 Green Fleet Conference is a Hit with Attendees
More than 600 fleet managers and fleet stakeholders invested in fleet sustainability took part at this year’s Green Fleet Conference in Phoenix, which was held October 1-2 at the Phoenix Convention Center. Feedback from attendees was enthusiastic for both the conference and the events surrounding it, particularly the perennial favorite, the Ride & Drive Event, which is held the opening morning of the conference.
ATA’s Safety Management Council Announces 2013 Award Recipients
American Trucking Associations’ Safety Management Council announced its 2013 award winners at its Safety & Human Resources National Conference & Exhibition in Sparks, Nev. last week. The ATA President’s Trophy recognizes the three companies whose fleets have been judged to have the best overall safety programs from the Truck & Industrial Safety Contests. These contests judge motor carriers from across the United States on their safety accomplishments and safety records relative to others within their operation type and size.
