2024 has been an incredible year for advancing your fleet management! As we wrap up the year, join us for a look back at all the groundbreaking launches on GPS Trackit Cloud that helped drive us Miles Ahead.
In-Platform Cloud Enhancements
1. New Reports
- Hours of Use Report: Provides the First On, Last Off, Machine Hours, Working Hours, Weekend Hours, Billing Hours and Overtime Hours.
- Non-Reporting Report: This report lists vehicles that haven’t been reported within the chosen date range. It includes the unit Tag(s), last recorded address, and the date/time of the last recorded reading.
- State Mileage Summaries: Summarizes State Mileage data showing the mileage each vehicle accumulates in each state over the date range selected. Can be used to assist with IFTA reports.
- State Mileage Crossings: Provides additional data regarding State Mileage including the number of border crossings along with the location and date/time of the crossings. These can be used to assist with IFTA reports.
- New Reports’ Layouts added to Landmark and Utilization Reports
- Generate and Filter Reports by Active and/or Inactive Drivers: Data from inactive drivers can still be accessed via reports and can be reactivated as needed. In order for this filter to work, you will need to identify which drivers are active or inactive in the driver section.

2.VidFleet Camera Hot Spot
With the VidFleet Hotspot feature, you can reduce dependency on potentially expensive cellular data without requiring an additional piece of equipment. Drivers have access to WiFi signals as needed (within the range provided) to improve communications and access business-critical apps such as ELD or GPST Driver.
3. Cloud Custom Map Layer Control
The Custom Map Layers feature allows users to upload a KML or KMZ file, providing the ability to create and apply customized overlays. For example, building an overlay to show planned road closures to adjust delivery routes for your fleet.
4. New Troubleshoot Device Option
Troubleshoot your Fleet Devices, 2830 Hardwired Asset Trackers, and GL500 Battery Asset Trackers directly on the GPS Trackit Cloud web platform. To access this feature, click the Maps information bubble or the Unit Settings view on the Status tab. The troubleshooter will then evaluate the unit’s Installation Status, Cellular Connection (AT&T devices only), Current Locations, and Odometer and Engine Hours.
5. Recent Alerts, Landmarks Visited, and Landmark Real-Time Dashboard
Recent Alerts dashboard provides an easily accessible and filterable list of details for those Alerts triggered within the selected date range by Unit or Driver, and filter by choosing Tags or selecting individual items. Landmarks Visited dashboard tallies the number of visits to selected Landmarks along with time spent on site. Landmarks Real Time dashboard provides a list of currently occupied Landmarks and notes the Vehicles within.
6. Improved Vehicle Trails
Improvements have been made to Vehicle Trails to include all data based on device type, allowing for more accurate road mapping in Drive events. The Trail Table has also been simplified for easier reading and can be toggled via the Vehicle Trails Setting Option for “Trail Line.”
7. Updated VidFleet Clip Review
The new VidFleet Clip Review feature now allows Drivers and Administrators to review automatically generated clips or snapshots, including allowing drivers to perform their own review of clips they were assigned. Additionally, the statuses feature has been added along with notes now being visible to drivers via the Driver App. The Preview feature also now allows users to stream from the device’s SD card prior to requesting the video clip.
8. Vicinity Tool
With the Cloud Vicinity Tool, you can simplify identifying your vehicles and drivers within one mile of a specific location on a set date/time. All you need to do is select a tool shape, center it on a location, and filter results by time and tags to see which vehicles were in that area within a 12-hour period. This is perfect for verifying incidents such as someone accusing your driver of cutting them off or damaging their property.
9. ETA Feature Update
The ETA Feature allows you to send a live tracking link with an estimated time of arrival to a destination. The new improvements include managing Active, Scheduled, and Completed ETA links, and the ability to schedule and automate them in advance. You can also edit links to update details and resend them to specific contacts.
10. VidFleet: False Positives and Reviewed Status
VidFleet users have the ability to mark video events as False Positives, which are automatically sent via the API to be used for future detection improvements.
11. VidFleet: Assign Driver to Previous Events
In the Video Tab, users can now assign or reassign a trip to a driver updating all records associated with that trip.
