Meet the inventor of GPS

Most of us have used a GPS. Some of us depend on it.  Its official name is Global Positioning System.  It all came about when Bradford Parkinson, a colonel in the United States Air Force, was asked to work on a struggling program aimed at creating a new navigation satellite system.

GreenRoad Report Details Most Common Risky or Inefficient Maneuvers Fleet Drivers Make

A new report from driver performance management services company GreenRoad provided new data about fleet drivers’ safety records and driving habits. The company’s 2012 Fleet Driver Performance Data Benchmark Report, analyzed safety performance data for more than 70,000 drivers worldwide.

Medina County transit looks to purchase GPS units

The Medina County Public Transit director hopes to reduce some radio traffic and paperwork for his employees by purchasing GPS units for vehicles in the fleet.  Director Michael Salamone wants the 10-inch, tablet-sized units up and running in buses by the end of April.
