Not every police vehicle is equipped with the LoJack equipment that will enable them to locate your vehicle. The number of police vehicles that are equipped is only a fraction of the total police vehicles patrolling your city. Additionally, LoJack’s signal is only a 2-3 mile radius. This means if a police vehicle equipped with the LoJack receiver is not in the range of your vehicle, your car will not be located.

The Asset Protection Unit is for companies and individuals that do not have a requirement for constant monitoring of their vehicles or assets, but do have a need to locate their vehicles on demand, once or twice a day, or for automobile and theft recovery purposes. The APU can be pre-programmed for location updates at certain times of the day/night, or during the occasions that the vehicle leaves designated areas.

Outperforming the core functions of the Lo Jack, the APU allows you to remotely disable your vehicle or unlock its doors. This unit is inexpensive and ideal for many vehicle tracking applications. The APU is an economical vehicle tracking device that gives the user access to a vehicle’s precise location via any browser-equipped PC.

The APU is designed to operate reliably even if the tracked vehicle remains parked for long periods of time. Using said vehicle’s battery and special, power-saving technology, the APU can protect the vehicle for up to forty-five days with the ignition off.
