Software Engineer

GPStrackit.com is seeking a Software Engineer with a strong background in database architecting. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years experience in database design and web development. This position requires someone well-versed in PHP and MySQL (LAMP platforms) with an understanding of MVC patterns and object-oriented development. A strong commitment to coding standards, documentation, and current, industry, best practices is expected.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience working with, optimizing, and designing relational databases.
  • 2-5 years experience building web applications with PHP and MySQL.
  • Strong, team-oriented development skills, with clear communication abilities.

Additional Qualifications

  • Relational database diagramming.
  • MySQL performance modeling and analysis.
  • Javascript (e.g. AJAX) architectures.
  • Experience with GPS mapping.
