(GTC), has extended its line of GPS software solutions into the clouds, with their new GPS tracking and vehicle locations app, Nimbo GPS. Developed by the innovative team of Nimbo Labs, a creative project within GTC, Nimbo GPS provides existing customers with real-time access to their GTC account using cloud computing technology.
Designed for use by existing customers, the Nimbo GPS mobile app is said to deliver real-time access to:
- Maps
- Geofences/Select Radius
- Alerts
- Locations
- Vehicle Details/History
- Disable/Enable Starter (certain units)
- View List of Vehicles Under GTC Account
- Click Pin to View lat/long of Last Event
Clients currently using a GPS tracking system through GTC now have access to their account and fleet vehicle information using an: APUS GPS web portal, iPhone, or iPad. The Nimbo GPS app provides the flexibility of knowing the status of your fleet whether in the office or on the road. Though not readily available, an Android application is currently being developed, however a release date has not been given.
GPS tracking devices have been proven to reduce company overhead by addressing such fleet management issues as: fuel consumption, engine idling, speeding, distracted driving, and personal use of company vehicle and or equipment.
